To those who are following my blog, today (30th Aug) will be my blog reviving date, after so long~
At the moment, I am surviving in Kelantan, to be exact location, Kubang Kerian. A small town meant for university students. They called this town as newly developed student town. It has only one main road. The place is small, but it has a big MYDIN, two stretches of shop-blocks. The main thing about this place is, all the shops are compact and meets the necessity of a student. There are few famous fast-food outlets here too, namely KFC (upon entering to Kubang Kerian) and Pizza Hut. Surprisingly, in such a small town, it has Secret Recipe, Ichiban, Ayamas and Tutti Frutti. This is considered luxurious enough for students.
I have already been here for the past 4 months, adaptation is not that bad. I am lucky to have a bunch of new and helpful friends, helping me getting used to the lifestyle in Kelantan. I still remember the first I stepped into Kubang Kerian was July 10th, I was required to attend the USM Fellowship Interview session in Health Campus (where I am now). Luckily, I have a place to crash in for a night. Thanks to Cath for allowing me to do so.
The distance from Penang to Kubang Kerian, is about 400km. But the road cutting through the Banjaran Titiwangsa is time consuming, 6 to 7 hours journey. The only bus from Penang to Kubang Kerian is Transnasional. Along the way, it is all GREEN. There are a few road signs along the way stated 'Beware of Trespassing Elephants". Along the East-West Highway, there is a largest man-made lake named Tasik Temenggor, it is so beautiful. There is also a lookout in the midway, which can see across to Thailand.
My official date of moving to Kubang Kerian was on July 21st. It has been inconvenience as I do not really have a place to stay just then, as the place I plan to rent was still under renovation. I was lucky to know Cath, she is the one allowing me to share her room for about a month. Until on 30th Aug, I managed to move into my own room.
